SpamCut Terms of Service

  1. Service. SpamCut lets you review comments on your own YouTube channel and change their moderation status in bulk using the YouTube Data API. It also lets you review comments on your own Instagram professional account and hide or delete them using the Instagram API.
  2. YouTube terms. SpamCut uses YouTube API Services. By using SpamCut you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Our Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy also apply.
  3. Instagram terms. If you connect Instagram, your use is also subject to the Instagram Terms of Use and the Meta Platform Terms.
  4. Your channel only. You may connect only YouTube channels and Instagram accounts you own or are authorized to manage. You are responsible for the moderation actions you choose to apply.
  5. Your rules. Spam detection rules are configured by you. SpamCut does not guarantee that flagged comments are spam. Rejected comments cannot be restored to "published" through the YouTube API, and deleted Instagram comments cannot be restored, so review carefully. "Hold for review", "Hide", and "Dry run" modes are provided to reduce mistakes.
  6. Browser extension and accounts. The SpamCut browser extension finds and deletes comments on pages you open while signed in to YouTube or Instagram yourself. Its AI check needs a SpamCut account (one per person), has a daily limit that we may change, and gives a probability, not a verdict: you decide what to delete, and deleted comments cannot be restored. Keep your password to yourself. You can delete your account at any time from the extension.
  7. SpamCut for Mac and AI credit. SpamCut for Mac is downloaded from our website as a .dmg. It finds and deletes comments on pages you open in the app while signed in to YouTube or Instagram yourself; collecting, rule checks, and deleting are free. AI results are probabilities, not guarantees; review comments before deleting them, because deleted comments cannot be restored. YouTube and Instagram may limit accounts that act too quickly; use the app at your own discretion. The app needs no sign-up: the first time you run it, our server gives that installation a SpamCut number, and the free daily allowance and any credit you buy are kept on our server under that number. The app stores the key to that number on your Mac; if you delete the app's data or move to another Mac without linking an email address, the credit cannot be recovered, so keep your SpamCut number and your payment receipt. Credit is sold at the prices on our Pricing page, paid once through PayApp, does not expire and renews nothing automatically. A comment uses as many characters of credit as it has (at least 50, at most 500). Unused credit can be refunded within 7 days of purchase as set out in the Refund Policy. The free daily allowance does not carry over and may be changed or withdrawn.
  8. Acceptable use. Do not use SpamCut to harass, to circumvent YouTube policies, to circumvent Instagram policies, or to exceed API quotas, or to get around the AI check limit, for example by creating several accounts or automating requests to our server.
  9. Availability. The service is provided "as is" without warranty. YouTube and Instagram API limits may restrict how many actions can be performed per day.
  10. Termination. You can stop using SpamCut and delete your data at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend access for misuse.
  11. Liability. To the extent permitted by law, SpamCut is not liable for indirect damages or for comments moderated according to your selections.
  12. Changes. We may update these terms and will post the new version here.
  13. Operator and contact. SpamCut is operated by Public Filca Inc.
